"Musikfest Stuttgart" visits Klett

– Press Release,

On the 2nd of September, during the Musikfest Stuttgart (Stuttgart music Festival), the company grounds of the Stuttgart-based Klett Group hosted the exceptional Hungarian violinist Roby Lakatos and his ensemble. The Klett Group is a long-term cooperation partner of the Stuttgart International Bach Academy and welcomed a musical artist to the Klett company grounds on the Feuersee lake for a second year.

Over 150 guests attended the event on the Klett company grounds on Saturday, the 2nd of September and were inspired by the Hungarian violinist Roby Lakatos. Together with his colleagues in the ensemble – a second violinist, a cimbalom, guitar, double bass and piano – the artist presented a diverse programme from a classical repertoire to gypsy swing during an open-air concert.

The concert was part of the "Unternehmen Musik" (Music Enterprise) series of the International Bach Academy, where various company grounds are used as a backdrop to host public concerts during the Stuttgart music festival. “As an educational company, the Klett Group supports projects that further cultural sponsorship in Stuttgart. We have been closely linked to the Stuttgart International Bach Academy for many decades. Following last year's success, we are proud to be contributing to the Stuttgart music festival once again this year as a venue,” states Philipp Haußmann, Management Board Spokesman, Ernst Klett AG.

Roby Lakatos has already appeared in concert halls from Budapest to Sydney and has released many recordings. He grew up in a traditional family of gypsy violinists and started studying classical music at the Béla-Bartók Conservatory in Budapest where he combined both of these worlds in his music.
